This is just a beautiful movie. The actors, the locations, the music. It completely brings you into this world.
The way George looks at Lucy. The way she can't help but look at him. The actors give them feeling and life, roles that in lesser hands could have been stiff and remote, making it hard to identify with them.
This movie just says romance to me.
It also contains one of the top ten most romantic scenes in a film ever. The kiss in the Italian countryside. It's so unexpected and passionate, for Lucy, as well as the audience.
I'll admit I watched it and read the book a few times before I figured out that it was the class difference that was keeping them apart! Which always makes me luv it the more that they follow their hearts. The ultimate fantasy and desire when it comes to a stories of the heart. |
