Ebert and Roeper have their heads so far up their arrogant asses that they couldnt have possibly seen the movie. This is my personal favorite Rocky movie. The story isn't as good as the original, and neither is the acting. HOWEVER, for action, adrenaline, and flat out fun this beats them all. The two training montages are awesome, especially in the second when "hearts on fire" plays, and Rocky runs up the mountain while Drago struggles with the treadmill, sends shivers up my spine everytime. Stallone isn't a great actor, however, he seems to excel his standards everytime he assumes the Rocky character, he gives a brilliant performance as someone who gives it one last try to avenge his friends death. Carl Weathers as always is great and entertaining as Apollo. Talia Shire and Burt Young don't have much screen time in IV. Dolph Lundgren, as Drago, doesn't give a stellar performance, he doesn't really have the chance too as he has less than 50 words of dialogue. HOWEVER, he does have an amazing physical stature, and is very intimidating. Drago is probably my favorite Rocky opponent, just beating out Tommy Gunn. The movie is what all Rocky fans want.... inspiration. Ebert and Roeper need to realize that not all movies produced are made to satisfy faggot ass movie reviewers who would rather watch Titanic or some other ridiculously overrated movie, than something as simple as Rocky IV. Ebert and Roeper, get your heads out of your asses and get a new job, you obviosly cannot rate a movie, so try cleaning toilets. And what kind of degree do you need to be a movie reviewer anyways? A degree in Gay Studies. I hope you both burn in hell. |
