An older student tries to understand himself w/in the context of his nuclear family unit. He is learning to cope with his behaviors. When he binge drinks he gets in trouble with the law.In one such station interview he states his family in essence protects him from facing his problems by moving and changing communities, when in fact its his family that is zany! Its a coming of age tribute to cool dudes looking for a sense of belonging and affection. Pretty scenes of city museums and parks in LA. Similar--"Breakfast club" "Manic" "Grapes of wrath" "Buller day off" "West side story" |
