Whats it got to do with raisins?

Well i still dont knwo why it is called "A Raisin in the Sun". Are they the raisin? I was reading the book in school and had to watch the movie. The movie made it more understandable and it was a classic movie. The ending was great, especially what mama did, raising her hand.
