This is one of, if not THE, greatest drive-in movie ever made. What more do you need in a movie? First of all you have an ancient Aztec winged (Whenever you say the title, you can't help pronouncing it "wing-ed") serpent god, preying on the residents of New York City. It grabs people and takes them back to its lair to eat. That lair is none other than the top of the Chrysler Building. Brilliant! Then you have Larry Cohen fave Michael Moriarty bringing some actual acting chops to his role as the hapless schlub who is the only person in New York that knows where Q is hiding. To top everything off, you have a double whammy of Co-Stars. David Carradine and Richard Roundtree are the two police officers assigned to the case. That's right: It's a Kane and Shaft team-up!! How cool is that? Trust me, you just have to see it to believe it, and then you too will join the legions of fans. |
