Gene Hackman, Roddy McDowell, Jack Albertson, Red Buttons, Ernest Borgnine, and Shelly Winters makes up an all-star cast in this wonderfully made action adventure/thriller. A luxury ocean liner capsizes New Years Eve and it's up to a savvy clergyman (Hackman) to lead the others to safety. This is a thriller that keeps you on the edge even for its time. It shows a painful reality of human nature and how some people can lose their heads when faced with the possibility of dieing. This movie is very well done and is an american classic. This movie is definately worth a rental and is a very nice addition to your movie collections. |
