This is first part of oliver stone's detaling the vietnam war . It is a movie that like none other before or after has proven that war really is "hell". Oliver Stones masterful directing on this film enables the audience to see the different characters persoanlities in great detail and depth. Characters such as young and innocent "Chris"(Sheen), the tough, battle weared soldier(Berenger), and the understanding, caring soldier(Defoe) are brought to light as they battle the enemy and each other.in this great oscar winning film, viewers are brought to wasteland that was Vietam. |
