Matthau - The Ultimate Pirate

This movie is one of my favorite Matthau movies of all. I don't know why this movie got such poor reviews and why some people think it stinks. I suppose it's all in what you are expecting. If you don't have any expectations of what this movie is supposed to be about, if you love light-hearted pirate movies, if you love Matthau and his brilliant sense of comedic timing or if you are just a fan of Matthau, period (as I am),you have to love it. Matthau is the best bumbling pirates - ever - and one of the most delightful actors of all time. |
