Kathleen Turner was nominated for (and deserved)an Academy Award for her work in this movie. She and her co-stars do a wonderful job and I think this movie is and was underrated. It's thoughtful, touching, funny and sentimental in a way that doesn't detract from the story. The acting is sensational (the ability to convince us that these characters really do go back in time is flawless), the attention to detail (i.e. camera work, backround, props) are amazing. This is one of my all time favorites. I cannot fathom how such a well done work can deserve a (current score) of C+. It's way better than that!!! |
