This movie seems to stand the test of time and gets better each time it's watched. There are so many sublte puns! I remember when High School senior boys seemed like real men to me (way back when) and this movie captures that delusion so well. Nick Cage does an excellent job as a young man struggling for his identity. All the characters from the High School are so fun. I saw them all at my 30 yr reunion: the couple married right after graduation that lasts, the nerd that made the big bucks and became famous, the snotty girl that still is, the popular kids that grew up to become just another middle class member struggling to make a living.
This movie is best enjoyed when you sit back and immerse yourself in the journey it takes you on.
