Our good friend, Pee-Wee Herman, is here to go with us for a bike ride in this hillarious comedy staring the man with the red boe tie, grey outfit, and white penny-loafers. Even at the start of this film we are drawn into Pee-Wee's fabulous fire-pole/clothes changer, breakfast making contraption and his cute little doggy "Speck." We then see his bike as he carefully cleans it and obsesses over it. It is his pride, beauty and the one thing his life revolves around. But a neighbor, Fransis, wants Pee-Wee's bike and Pee Wee refuses to sell it. That same day his bike goes missing. Pee-Wee is assured Fransis didn't steal the bike and now he must find it another way. He seeks a false psychic to find where his bike is located. The psychic tells him that it is in the basement of the Alamo, from there his adventure begins. Further along, he is picked up by a "dangerous" criminal, a truck driver's ghost with the title of "Large Marge", he is almost killed by a local diner-maid's fiance, he is annoyed by the singing of a hobo, he is almost killed by a band of bikers, and finally he ends up in Warner Bro. studios were his bike has shown up. Overall, this film is a classic and should be put in anyone's film collection. |
