This film claimed to be about how a high society English broad goes to India and is appalled at how the Indians are treated.
While they are subjected to snobbery by the English upper crust, they certainly aren't being beaten or being enslaved by the Brits.
All that happens is an old English broad and a younger English broad go to a cave with an Indian doctor who wishes to get into the English circle.
The old broad can't handle the heat and sits out after they enter the first cave. The younger English broad then goes w/ the Indian doctor to another cave.
While inside the cave, she gets claustraphobic and freaks out.
She then runs back home and accuses the Indian of attempted rape.
Their is a court trial and then the young English woman recants her statement and the Indian dude walks.
The only drama in this film was that the English were very quick to come to the conclusion that the Indian guy wanted to rape the English woman.
It pissed me off that she didn't get thrown in prison for the false accusation.
Too many women do this to innocent men and need to be held accountable. Considering the potential damage to the innocently accused, I feel that any woman who makes false accusations should receive the exact sentence that the accuser would receive.
The film ends with the Indian guy forgiving the English woman. Why?
If someone tried to put you in jail for the rest of your life for no reason, would you forgive them?
Absolutely terrible film, I suggest skipping it. |
