Okay, then... Where's the story?

I recently rented this movie from Netflix, and I gotta say that it totally sucked. Number one, the first hour was pretty much nothing. All it showed was useless information except for who the characters were. It seems like the filmmaker wanted to make the movie, and found that he still didn't have a story after an hour's worth of filming. I think he tried to squeeze the story into the last hour, which didn't work out at all. It would have been much nicer if Mrs. Quested hadn't given up the charges as soon as she pressed them. She could have at least put up a fight.
Anyway, the story was kind of lame. She just got claustrophobic, started hallucinating, and before you know it, the innocent, kind-hearted Dr. Aziz is arrested. I don't get it. Then, the public starts protesting, and the trial happens. She gives up all that charges, and life goes on. I'll say again that I think the filmmaker realized that he didn't have a story, and decided to stick a short, lame one in instead. The movie had potential, until they made that story. I hated this movie, and I'll never see it again. |
