slow start but worth the wait

Ok, so I had seen all the movies that were rented in the corner store except two: this one and another called "Enemy mine"
I rented this movie over 4 times and then returned it after watching the first 1/2 hour or so every time thinking what a bore! I never rented "enemy mine" just because the cover looked awful and the write up in the back was even worse...
So on a thanksgiving weekend, far from family and friends, with nothing better to do, no good books, and no good games to play on the PC, I was forced to rent these two movies... Boy am I glad I did
For the first 1 1/2 hour through this, nothing made sense... It was so boring, so stupid, nothing seemed to happen and then ... the light at the end of the tunnel started shining...
For those who are looking for a movie with an intelligent plot, this is the one if (and that is a big if) you can spend 1 1/2 hour of total boredom, please belive me that the ending makes it 110% worthwile |
