Typical 80s Romantic Comedy

Wasn't expecting too much, but was pleasantly surprised at the ease that this movie flowed. It was cute and fun to watch, even if it didn't do all that much. The characters were definitely juxtaposed with Russell and Hawn. Even the classy Hawn versus the redneck Hawn were so opposite that if I wasn't paying attention then I wouldn't have known they were the same character. The characters were easy to dis/like, even if they weren't very relate-able. The plot was rather simple but still enjoyable. I feel like this film could easily get lost in the shuffle since there's not much about it that would make me watch it again and again. It was cute and fun, but not something I'll feel compelled to watch again. |
