A brilliant story, filled with tragedy, love, and top acting from a top actor, Richard Gere. Mayo (Gere) joins the navy, and is put through his paces by his seargent who makes, nicknamed, Mayonaisses' life a living hell. He meets a woman who he falls for, and this forces himself to admit he is not a lonewolf. Tragedy strikes when his best friend, hangs himself over a girl who he also met. This film, while at times humourous with the rivalry with his seargent, is also moving with the storyline of his bestfriend, and his girlfriend, which for me works superbly!Overall this thriller is one worth watching again and again! |
