by The Pool Shark (movies profile)
Mar 6, 2006
The 1931 comedy classic from France, "A Nous la Liberte" is the story about an escaped convict named Emile, who has started a job as a wealthy industrialist. It is full of laughs and a heartwarming tale that stars Henri Merchand, Raymond Cordy, Rolla France and Paul Ollivier.
Five years later in 1936, Charlie Chaplin had just finished the film, "Modern Times" when Rene Clair, the director of "A Nous la Liberte" had put a lawsuit on Chaplin who plagiarized his movie.
That's a film fact for ya! |
