The Ending Makes The Movie
by Phillydude (movies profile)

I watched this movie because I heard it had a great ending, and even expecting a surprise ending - I was still surprised.
The movie opens slowly with Kevin Costner's character falling in love with the mistress of the Secretary of Defense - whom he happens to work for.
The Women is clearly a bimbo, so it's hard to see what either man sees in her.
However, after the secretary, played by the always great Gene Hackman, accisently kills her the movie really heats up.
Costners character must try to prove the Secretary is resposible without getting himself killed.
Wouldn't dream of spoiling the ending, just stick with the movie, because the ending has to rank up with my top 5 surprise endings off all time. |
