To compare Daniel Day-Lewis' performance with any other is an insult. His portrayal of Christy Brown is simply magnificent. When this movie was originally released, he was so convincing that many who had not heard of him were convinced he had Cerebal Palsy, which I think is the greatest compliment to his enormous talent. An Excellent supporting cast including Brenda Fricker, Ray McAnally and Hugh O'Connor as the Young Christy Brown |
