Wonderful start into the world of classic musicals

After deciding to watch the classic, we decided to start with "My Fair Lady." I was unaware a musical could be so long (Almost 3 hours) but this film keeps your attention. Aside from extra long musical numbers, some unneeded songs and weird character twists...this movie is the classic it is hyped up to be. Rex Harrison is simply "the man."
My one gripe is the ending, I would have enjoyed a more open-ended, Eliza goes with the man and Higgins is in lonely pain...but instead...well, watch the movie and find out. |
