As the BEST Christmas movie ever made! Edmund Gwenn won an Oscar for his portrayal as the REAL Santa Claus (or is he? The screenplay also won an Oscar...) alongside Maureen O'Hara as a very practical no nonsense New York businesswoman, and her daughter, played by a wonderful very young Natalie Wood. Everything about this film sparkles from the first frame to the last, and it will always and forever remain the quintessential Christmas film. Perfectly marvelous and charming...there simply aren't enough adjectives to describe how joyous this film makes you feel inside. Please do yourself a favor and just go out and buy it if you don't already own it. And watch it with your family year after year to kick off the Christmas season.
