A wonderful film done in the 60's when films were done on a grand scale. The main character,SirThomas More rises thru the ranks in King Henry VIII's court until More refuses to support the King's illegal union with a false queen. The movie captivates and its intellectual banter during the age of Renaissance and Reason 16th century is truly superb. So is the visual aura of lavish cinematography and era-furnishings. A must-see event. |
