I remember the movie when it was released - I had, still in my teens, to see it again, then 10 years later, and now again as a grandpa in my fifties. Very few movies have caught me with its intense and quiet story like Un Homme et Une Femme. The story is so credible and - as you come of age - so provoking to identify yourself in. The loss of a love and how we meet with our fellow mourners and it can bring some good with it.
The human movie? Here it is.
With the beautiful Samba Saravah.
And Lelouch is the master director - Ingmar Bergman and Kurozawa Class this time. |
