This movie is a classic. You had characters like Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn, who had just gotten out of prison, and Pedro Cerrano, who worshipped a voodoo god named Jobu. I love the part on the movie where, in spring training, Cerrano is sitting in front of his locker talking to Jobu. Then he wants to sacrifice a live chicken later in the movie. That's just hilarious. However, it is a crack on the Indians, and I am an Indians fan. And they were talking about how Cleveland was a really cold climate in the movie. BS. It's really cold in the winter, but the rest of the year its pretty mild or warm. And one more thing-you guys notice that the stadium in the movie was County Stadium in Milwaukee and not Municipal Stadium in Cleveland. The movie should have taken place in Cleveland, and not in Milwaukee. But I guess Bob Eucker AKA Harry Doyle would have not been in the movie then. Good movie but I had to bring it down a notch gradewise because they were making fun of the Indians. |
