The Lost Boys is one of the few vampire movies I have seen. This is partially because I don't think I could find a better vampire movie. The cast (most of which have not had success after this) are exceptional. At the time, none of the actors were well known, with the excpetion of Kiefer Sutherland, who gives an outstanding performance as David. The story could have turned into a complete teen-horror. For 1987, some of the special effects are quite special. Even after 17 years, this movie remains a classic, and a personal favourite. |
