I saw the play before actually seeing the movie. Of course I saw my high schools production which wasnt the greatest, so understandably I had my doubts when I watched the movie. For thoughs who dont know, Both Seymour and Audrey die in the original story. So to my surprise they lived. Which totally bumped up the grade. I love happier endings. I though it was a pretty good movie. Some big stars. Just, Greenes voice kinda bothered me, eek, scary high. Its not near the delight as other muscials such as Grease or The Sound Of Music. The story line is so silly it makes the movie enjoyable. And the songs are extra catchy. Its like a cult classic, a rocky horror picture show! I would recommend it though, a good way to spend a rainy afternoon. |
