Tho my video is getting thread bare from constant viewing of the epic piece, its worth seeing time and again.
Its a story of an American family living abroad in Paris durng the resistance,WW2.Two sisters, one prettier than the other and have differing personas. One is a mild,well-mannered lady who marries a French native but is childless, the other is a wild flirtatious sort that falls for an American GI,marries and has a cute pixie of a child.Sadly, tragedy takes hold of the extended family and the patriot, the two women's stogy, aging father tries to keep the family together.Classic acting that stands the test of time.
Nice scenes of Paris,ie Bois de Bologne, street gaiety and bistros. Its a film that will make you laugh and teary eyed and endear you to la cite de Paris. |
