I commend this movie for its plot. Something this horrible could easily happen in today's dangerous society. However, the cinematography in this movie made it nearly impossible to follow. I truly thought this was a documentary because of the awful visuals.
The soundtrack also threw me off with its Hillbilly edge and random scene music.
I realize that back in the 70's, this movie porbably freaked people out because it was the first of its kind. Nowadays, it's just plain disgusting and dumb.
My number one problem: the movie claims that it is based on a true story, yet, every character involved in the rapes and violence died, so how in the world could it be true if there were no survivors or witnesses? |
