What do you get when you put a great story with fantastic music and a immortal acting performance that just wont let you go? You get the legend of "La Bamba".Richie Valen's is a young man who live's for his music and in time see's his dream's come true,but not before his family experience's it's share of hardship.Richie's brother Bob does'nt make it any easier as his drink,fighting,and womanising push the family to the brink.As Richie's success grow's,so does Bob's sensitivity as to his own self worth,finally spilling over as Bob let's Richie have it.Tragically,Richie is killed in a plane crash at only 17 leaving the family completely devastated.Despite the sad ending,this movie triumph's over and over,the performance of Esai Morale's truly outstanding. |
