I feel I must disagree with andy newtons review of karate kid as its disappointingly misleading, to say the least. He tries to sound clever at the end but comes across as a prat. The true magic is not "in its positive portrait of one boy's transition into maturity through mastery of self." However, but within Mr.Myagi's true training technique worthy of only the finest shaolin masters. I for one would want to clean my car, if it would help my kick some ass.

Every boy who watched this, wanted to fight karate, and learn the secret of self-defence. I know you did too
