Excellent story of a mountain man set in the 1820's Utah/Colorado area. Robert Redford shed his pretty boy image to an excellent character study of a solitary mountain man. Scenery was wonderful, and this simple story was first rate. Supporting cast was excellent especially Will Geer, and Sydney Pollack's direction was masterful. |
