The first time I saw this movie I was hooked. To me it is the best movie made. The meaning behind the story is amazing. I watch it every chance I get and have even made my children watch it. Jimmy Stewart was and still is one of my favorite actors, the movie showed real emotions, not "hollywood" emotions. They looked like they truly loved each other and enjoyed their time together. It is a must see for everyone at least once. I wanted to live in Bedford Falls after I saw this movie. Being in black and white makes for a more dramatic movie, I hope they don't redo it, it just wouldn't be the same. In the guidelines they want me to compare this to other movies. The other Christmas movies I have seen all involve Santa and the day of Christmas. Yes that is a "Christmas" movie, but this one is focused on a family and friends and their troubles and the way family and friends pull together in a tough time to make it. It is one of the best movies ever made and I don't think there will ever be one like it. |
