Ever since seeing this in '67 (that's 1967) I have had a special place for this film in my heart. I remember being in the lobby of the Indiana Theatre in downtown Indianapolis waiting for the next showing to begin when someone walked out of the theatre (why I don't know) and saw the curved Cinerama screen with an image that is from the last scene of the movie. That little glimpse had me amused before I even saw the movie. I bought the widescreen video in '91 and finally the most recent dvd release. I read of a restoration and hope that it comes to be. I would love one last chance to see this movie on the BIG SCREEN!!! |
