I always liked this film. Claude Rains was excellent in his role! The film itself is not so much about Rains being a monster, but rather a man who is slowly descending into madness, by being a victim of his own design. Yeah, looking at that scene with the shirt looks cheap today, but big deal, it was 1933. Man, Gloria Stewart was a dish back then! |
