So Bad it's Good.

When I watched this I had very low expectations after reading numerous reviews about how bad it was. I like the first Howling however I have not seen it since it first came out. I think the movie gets a bad rap because it is compared to the first Howling which is a classic. Howling 2 is a B movie, low budget, effects and acting that are so bad they are funny,(except the performance of Christopher Lee who was great as always). Howling 2 definitely is a bad sequel however if you rate it independent of the first one it is actually very watchable and entertaining. It moves along at a good pace, has cheesy 80's music in the background, has a werewolf threesome, a werewolf orgy and Sybil Danning shows off her twins and has a showdown with Christopher Lee at the end. Well worth seeing as long as you don't take it too seriously and can refrain from comparing it to the original. |
