John Wayne plays a Yankee Colonel who is driving his way to Baton Rouge. In the process, he is forced to take on a female Rebel prisoner, who he happens to fall in love with. William Holden is the unit's doctor, who is constantly butting heads with Wayne. The movie is pretty fast paced and does gather your attention. Wayne gives a good performance, though very predictable. William Holden is pretty good as well. This is a pretty good film, which most of the family will enjoy. |
