The Marx Brothers zaniness at their best!
by Greg Linsun (movies profile)
Jan 17, 2009
Anyone who's every heard of The Marx Brothers knows about their zany actions. However, if you're new to them, Horse Feathers isn't a bad place to start. When a new dean is elected (The hilarious Groucho Marx), he is on a mission to recruit two new players for their football team. Instead, he finds two goof-offs (The musical Chico, and the mute goofball Harpo) to support him. However, when the big game is approaching it's up to these three goofballs to get it together and fight fire with fire when officials and women arrive to cheat their way to victory. Horse Feathers is another old movie that has paved the way to future comedies in the future and it's every bit as hysterical as you might think. The Marx Brothers do a great job within the little over an hour they're given and keep it interesting even with a few song numbers. For fans new and old Horse Feathers is definitely worth a look. |
