I can't stand reggae and the movie is just a portrayal of a guy who becomes a socialist's hero by inflicting cruel violence. Okay, I know that Jamaica is a terrible place to live inflicted by poverty but that is no excuse to create even more mayhem. The film is meant to be anti-Christian and anti-capitalist but the heroes are confused to be villains and the villains are confused to be heroes. If you like propaganda, this film is for you! Otherwise, there are no redeeming qualities in Jimmy Cliff's character. |
