This Charlie Chaplin film is his first all talking movie, and a spoof of Adolph Hitler. Chaplin plays a dual role as Adenoid Hynkle, a dictator and as a Jewish barber. On top of the wonderfully choregraphed slapstick humor which Chaplin is known for, We also get some wittiness, including an over the top speech as the dictator towards the beginning of the movie, listen very closely to the speach , the closer you listen the funnier it is. We do get in the end Chaplins point of view about war, which though it stands outfrom the rest of the movie is well thought out and eloquent.
