In Conclusion, the movie "Glory" was talking about the discrimination between black people and white people. Before the Emancipation Proclamation, black people were slave. Black people did not have an equal rights with white people. Everything was separate and it was called segregation. At this movie, White soldiers look down at black soldiers. White soldiers said that black soldiers did not have self-reliance and not a hard worker and also afraid. It did not match with white people traditional believes. Black peole wanted to prove that they could be good soldiers. Finally they proved that they could be good soldiers. Finally they proved to all people that they were good soldiers. After that there were no discrimination between white soldiers and black soldiers. White soldiers never look down at black soldiers anymore especially when black regiment was going out for battle.
Nowdays, discrimination between races was still happening but it was not the same anymore. People did not show that they were races. They showed it when they got angry or had a problem with other people from others races |
