When I watched the Gladiator I, was estonished and impressed to see someone like Maximus the center character to have so much power! And to respect other people integrity and dignity.I enjoyed the part when Maximus fighting the Tigris and battling with the four tigers and all of them were defeated including the Tigris. Another scene when he was being enticed by the emperor Marcus Aurelius daughter Lucilla that loved him very much. He would never touch her, his marriage was sacred.
I watch this movie practically almost every week. And everytime I observe something different about plot,characters, message and point of view. I respect the character Maximus for the man he played in the movie. Strong, obedient, and dedicated to his family and to his country Rome. I didn't like Commodus the emperor's son who envied Maximus for who he was. And it was sad when Maximus found his family had been executed at thier home. Theirs an overall of the movie was magnificient. My rating would be an extraordinary movie.
