This biopic (loosely inspired) of Jewish stage comidenne Fanny Brice is colorful, has good numbers and Babs is outstanding capturing the spirit of the woman brilliantly.
The film is lush and the performances very good, of note is Walter Pidgeon as Florenz Ziegfeld.
Possibly the last great musical until 2002's 'Chicago'.
It does go on for about half an hour to long and Omar Sharif isn't quiet the right leading man but it's still good fun.
The musical numbers are a lot of fun.
