Yes, it's a carbon copy of HALLOWEEN but who cares? This movie, released on Friday the 13th in June of 1980...is responsible for most of the terrible horror movies that came out in the 1980's. Yet, watching it now, 26 years later, it has held up surprisingly well. No, Jason's not the killer in this one...but he does make a cameo appearance in one of the best shock endings since CARRIE. You know the story...teenagers get sliced and diced at Camp Crystal Lake...one at a time. Watch for Kevin Bacon in one of his first movies. He gets one of the best death scenes! For a schlocky little film, this movie holds its own in the Horror Genre. |
