Texas Desert? Wrong, Try ARizona
by Lawrence (movies profile)
Jun 23, 2005
The movie was great! The acting and one liners were fantastic. But one reviewer said it had great shots of the Texas desert. This couldn't be farther from the truth. A lot of it, in fact, was filmed in Arizona. I know this because I LIVE in Arizona. There is a scene of a jeep being driven through the desert with panoramas of vast desert plants including Saguaros. Where are there Saguaro cacti in Texas? That is the Chihuahuan desert, saguaros are only found in the SONORAN desert, which is native to northern Sonora, Mexico and southern Arizona ONLY. Also, during the semi truck/van collision scene, you can CLEARLY see the Santa Catalina Mountains towering above the Tucson skyline.
Still, I loved the movie, especially when a lady asks, "Well don't you guys have a ball to go to or something?" And Kristofferson replies, "We're the Border Patrol, ma'am, we don't have any balls!"
Lots of one liners that'll keep you watching and laughing. |
