This movie is undoubtedly the best martial arts movie ever to hit theaters. The reason being.. Bruce Lee. Without him the movie is so-so. But since he's in it, we're treated to lightning fast kicks, one of the most powerful screen prescences ever, and the best fighting sequences ever staged in a movie. Lee is also backed up by 1971 international middleweight karate champion Jim Kelly, who makes his acting debut here, and film veteran John Saxon, whose martial arts skills don't look too well, but just good enough. The movie never really keeps you bored, and one thing the movie has is every supporting character is interesting.
You have Bruce Lee as 'Lee' playing a martial arts master going to the evil Mr. Han's island to bust up a drug operation for the British government. He also has a personal issue to settle at the tournament with one of Han's bodyguards. Then you have John Saxon and Jim Kelly as 'Roper' and 'Williams', who knew each other from Vietnam. Bob Wall plays Ohara: Lee's personal issue. Ohara forced Lee's sister to kill herself. There are just too many reasons to like this movie.
Overall, an action packed martial arts classic that everyone should own.
