WARNING: this may be a biast opionion from a Bond fan.
As the pilot of the bond series this movie sets the ground work for what has become the biggest series ever.
Beautyful ladie(s) yes plural, Time spent in the carribean, our good friend Walter PPK, The bond charm and swagger, and of course the timeless bond ditty as it is strummed out over 40 years ago for the first time.
Movie is a delight for the simple historical perspective it offers modern day bond fans. Non- bond fans will muse at a youthful lean Sean connery. Jamaica in the 60's was the perfect back drop for this movie which lacks the punch of modern bond movies but is wonderfully done for it's time. |
