The story is good but is lenghty. I think Fellini needed a stronger editor to help him out.
Visually it is great. There are unique shots starting right from the beginning. Great shots that in color would be boring. There are magical moments that stick with you. While you are seeing them you know they are special.
The acting is fantastic but is not as effective since I couldn't watch their faces and read the subtitles at the same time.
Overall a wonderful film that captures 60's Rome and the life of a writer who isn't sure what he wants out of life. |
