FILMMAKING AT ITS BEST.

Shows that a film could actually come close to a novel's depth and breadth. To think the recent TV
remake would dare to attempt to put itself in this league was sheer idiocy. The juxtaposition of these two films is testimony to the decline of art and culture in the latter half of the 20th century and forebodes ill for the 21st century. |
