So why do they call him dirty Harry?

Why do they call him Dirty Harry? Is it because he hates everyone? Is it because he's peeps in on people in their house? Or is it because he gets all the dirty jobs? Maybe it's a bit of all three.

Either way, Clint Eastwood is devilishly clever and well, dirty as dirty Harry. When first released it got it's fair share of buzz for violence, language and sex but the one's that stur contraversy are the ones people remember. The story was nothing spectacular, an average cop thriller with a dirty cop who never played by the rules but always stayed true to the badge. That's Harry for ya, Clint Eastwood in his prime, prancing around in his plaid checked blazer and puffy hair. Back then that got him the chicks, oh, and saying timeless one liners such as "Are you feelin' lucky, punk!?". So Mr. Cool is chasing down the complete opposite. A freak of nature killer who screams like a girl and has eyes the size of Gollum's from "Lord of the Rings".

What set's Dirty Harry apart from the rest is the shear attitude of it. Harry never listens to orders, he chases down bad guys while eating a hot dog. He's always there to save the day and keep his cool, he's like a super hero just to make the guys envious and the girl's squack over him. But set the pretty stuff aside, Harry get's dirty, and I love it. He's always there to try and stop the infamous Scorpio baddie. He shoots down the bad guys one by one. Losing count of his bullets in his revolver.

It's good, it's bad and it's ugly and for it's day it was outrageous. What Clint should have asked himself, was he feelin lucky? He could have made a major ass of himself be the movie a flop but he was lucky and the movie remained entertaining throughout. Put aside the pretty boy cover and the outrageous garage style music it was a pretty damn good ride.
