Ray Milland does a great job as the debonair husband who must do away with his wife in order to keep her money. Two great scenes: The one where he plots to have his wife killed and the other where the writer/lover/friend explains that a murder works on paper, but would never go off just right in real life. Isn't that chaos theory from Jeff Goldblum on Jurasic Park. Anyway, from there things just go wrong until the very end when Milland gets caught. But you don't know how that is going to go until then. Interesting use of the camera when Milland is explaning how the murder is to take place and the whole movie happens in this apartment with very few scenes elsewhere. |
